In this hands-on cheese making adsventure you'll gain all the knowledge to confidently make your favourite cheese at home.
Join Kristen for a hands-on cheese making adventure (and lunch!) where you’ll master the art of crafting halloumi, mascarpone and a traditional whey ricotta.
We’ll take a deep dive into the story of milk, beginning with life in the soil, how the different seasons and type of animal influence it’s composition and how to source and select the best quality, local milk and cream for making cheese.
After a fun-filled workshop, we’ll gather for a delicious lunch featuring the finest local produce, including:
Homemade flatbreads
Whipped feta and mascarpone dip
Beetroot & almond hummus
Halloumi and citrus salad with greens and hazelnuts
Rhubarb and whey fermented soda
You will receive recipes and take home the halloumi and mascarpone made in the class. Kristen will share with you a collection of mouth-watering recipes that showcase the cheese we make in the class, plus all her marvellous ways to use the leftover whey.
