Artist and ceramicist Eleanor Meredith will guide the clay workshop where you will learn how to work the clay from a slab into a fully formed leaf-imprinted bowl. Eleanor has a studio on Balcaskie Estate where she creates bisque ceramics, paintings and prints.
Once you are happy with your final design, Eleanor will fire your creations in her kiln back at the studio. She will then finish the design with a layer of rich green glaze that highlights the leaf design.
Firing and glazing of the bowls will take about a month. They will be able to collect form Bowhouse or alternatively, a postage fee of £12 can be paid for at the end of the workshop.
Minimum age: 10
Please bring clothes you don't mind getting a little messy.
