Join Conor O’Connell at his Lough Gara exhibition on Main Street for a workshop that invites creative responses through drawing, inspired by the materials and themes of the exhibition.
10 years - Adult
This workshop will be a response through drawing of the material in Conor O’Connell’s Lough Gara exhibition. The exhibition explores 9,000 years of human interaction with the lake - from early hunter-gatherers to modern-day makers - through artefacts, photographs, stories, and new paintings by the local artist.
Conor’s work is often introspective, informed by his surroundings, interests and experiences. Themes include ancient history, nature and psychology, and frequently takes the form of a self-portrait which often comes in the form of assemblages of objects/ still lives.
