A first period can feel like a bloody nightmare. However, sixteen-year-old Pet couldn’t be more excited to finally get her period until her older sister, Margo, informs her of a surprising family secret: when it’s their time of the month...they travel through time. The only way to return back to the present? By dying in the past (which is easy since they’ll be killed the second they say anything remotely feminist or slightly scientific). As Pet and Margo flow through time, bickering everywhere from Ancient Greece to 1950s suburbia, they not only learn from the errors of the past, but navigate their way through the exciting, frightening experience of womanhood.
