Join us for the return of the outstanding HEGEDU quintet, offering an evening of lively contemporary progressive folk at Pianodrome Bruntsfield!
Doors open at 7pm
HEGEDU are a contemporary progressive folk project, joining us this time at Pianodrome Bruntsfield for another lively and warming show this November, dancing is encouraged!
The music is all original, influenced by Celtic and Scandinavian fiddle music as well as chamber music and a touch of early music. The band is unusual in that the compositions avoid regular phrase lengths and contain meticulously orchestrated 3 and 4 part harmonies, creating an unusual, sometimes otherworldly but highly memorable sound.
Hegedu is:
Morag Brown: fiddle
Isla Ratcliff: fiddle
Chris Lyons: fiddle
Anoukia Nistor: cello
Jack Weir: Guitar
