About the Artist(s):
Lydia Bennett, North-East UK-born folk-pop songwriter returns for UK summer tour, with music that draws on her roots in Edinburgh, the North East of England, New Zealand, and now incorporating inspiration from her current base in Valencia, Spain.
Lydia brings an intimate blend of folk-pop, carried by a voice that feels both delicate and deeply expressive. Her songwriting draws on Scottish and English folk, creating moments of warmth, nostalgia, and emotional honesty, with subtle arrangements that draw the audience into a deeply personal atmosphere.
Lydia has performed alongside artists such as King Creosote and Withered Hand, and has opened for renowned musicians including Kris Drever, Kathryn Tickell, and The Brothers Gillespie.
Playing alongside Emiliano Caglieris, originally from Argentina, his music is shaped by years of travelling through Latin America, where music became his companion and his way of connecting with people and places. His songs blend Latin American influences, acoustic textures, and poetic lyrics, creating a sound that feels organic, reflective, and full of movement.
Emiliano has performed alongside and opened for renowned artists in Argentina, including Litto Vitale, Juan Baglietto, Hilda Lizarazu, Adrián Berra, and Mauro Gentile.
Accompanied by Iago Aguado Coll, guitarist and composer from Valencia specializing in jazz and modern music, trained at the Liceu Conservatory in Barcelona and the International University of Valencia (VIU). Throughout his career, he has played with prominent musicians from the Barcelona and Valencia music scenes and performed at renowned national festivals.
Together, Lydia, Emiliano, and Iago create an experience that feels cinematic, emotional, and deeply human. An experience full of intimate vocals, rich acoustic arrangements, and songs that range from folk, indie and Latin American influences - the kind of concert where the room falls completely silent between songs.
Reviews:
‘Fossil’ is a collection of elegant, lyrical songs. Lydia repeatedly casts a powerful spell with that expressive, exuberant, soulful voice, elevated by elegant production, deft performances and sympathetic instrumentation. Dan Wilson, Withered Hand, 2026
‘Fossil is another work that confirms my hope in the next generation of musicians emerging from the Scottish scene. Lydia Bennett has a voice of rare beauty and character, and these songs carry a subtle confidence that feels entirely unique to her. I’m very interested to hear where she goes next.” Stephen McAll, Constant Follower, 2026
