Pop Mutations presents: Marlon DuBois + elcammgguod Wednesday 8th July The Glad Cafe 14+ (under 18s must be accompanied by an adult)
Pop Mutations presents:
Marlon DuBois
Marlon DuBois is an avant garde polymath rapper, producer, director and performance artist, from two hours north of NYC. He is known in the global underground for being the founding member of Shed Theory, a 10-membered east coast rap crew, incubated and emerged from a literal shed, in the woods of Woodstock, NY. While ST started to take shape in 2021, Marlon (né 2001) had been constructing digital media since kindergarten.
Marlon’s work leans far more experimental and genre-oblivious than most of his predecessors. His vocal effects, rather than sounding overly alien or robotic, inspire a feeling of human connectivity. This much needed relatable humanness shines through at Marlon’s shows and becomes tangible community.
Thus far Marlon has been remarkably self-produced and self-taught – recording, mixing and mastering most of his own, and much of ST’s members’ output – from the shed. He is a sought after collaborator and featured vocalist, having worked w/ Surf Gang, Smokedope2016, Bby Goyard, Bloodz Boi, Daine, and extensively with Joeyy. Marlon is also an accomplished video director, collab’ing on nearly 100% of his and Shed members’ MV output, and working on video productions with Haunted Mound, xaviersobased, DJ Lucas, and phreshboyswag. Marlon is uncannily prolific and prodigious - Shed iconography is recognized worldwide and their merch recently made it into the renowned chain skate shop Zumiez. His most recent EP, Bogworld dropped June 26, 2026.
