Dancing Madness
d. Marta Espar & Maiol Virgili (Spain, 2022) 1h 13m

In this insightful feature doc from directors Marta Espar and Maiol Virgili, three contemporary dancers collaborate with three women diagnosed with mental disorders to explore the boundaries between normality and madness through a shared creative process in the Basque Country. Their journey together challenges societal taboos, blending personal experiences with mental health into a transformative dance performance that questions the very definitions of "normal" and "madness".

15+ : Themes of Self-Harm and Suicide

This screening is part of the Now You See Us programme, a two-day showcase of new artist commissions, creative workshops, film screenings and vital discussions responding to this year’s Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival theme, In/Visible.
