Information

Sick Girls
d. Gitti Grüter (Germany, 2023), German with English subtitles, 1h19m, Uk premiere

In this highly personal film, director Gitti Grüter engages with five other women living with ADHD – attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder – to reflect on their shared experiences and challenges. Sick Girls weaves together each woman’s story and asks: what does it mean to have your existence not fit within the rigid frame of societal norms?

The screening will be followed by a conversation with Neuk Collective, which brings together, supports, and advocates for neurodivergent artists in Scotland. It will be chaired by Katie Bradley and include artists Jess Orense and Leo Hajducki.

This event is part of the Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival's Focus on Film programme, taking place in Glasgow from 16-19 October.
