Come and celebrate the humble tattie with us. Pick up your seed tatties from the experts at Potato House, and enjoy the array of food, stalls, and activities happening throughout the day.
Kirriemuir Tattie Day returns for another year in February. This annual event is the perfect day out for growers, whether you're thinking about growing your own for the first time, or already know which varieties you'll be stocking up on for the 2026 season. As well as a huge variety of seed potatoes to choose from, we'll have stalls with a range of locally grown and made produce, activities for kids, and a tattie themed café for lunch or a sweet treat.
Potato House
The star of the show at Kirriemuir Tattie Day is always the dozens of varieties of seed potato pick 'n' mix available to buy directly from Andrew and Amy Skea of Potato House themselves. They will be on hand throughout the day to answer any questions you have and to advise on the perfect tatties for your taste and growing space. Haven't got a veggie patch to grow in? Don't worry, they also sell grow bags to plant your tatties in!
Farmer's Market
We'll update as more producers are confirmed! So far, we'll be welcoming stalls from...
Scotia Seeds
Hemp It Up
Black Cat Soaphouse
Winnie's Cabin Crafts
Café
We'll be running a pop-up café with a simple menu of soup, stovies and cakes. Our café income helps us cover the costs of running the event, with any surplus going towards our Food & Growing projects.
Seed Swap
Our Seed Library will be temporarily moving from it's home next door in Kirriemuir Library for Tattie Day. Bring along any unused seeds, whether saved or not, to donate to our Seed Swap, and pick up some new seed to try this year! There's flowers, herbs, veggies and fruit to swap and share!
Kids Activities
Michelle from Angus Outdoor Learning will be back with her amazing collection of natural materials, inspiring us to get creative with nature's amazing resources.
Meet the Team
Staff and volunteers from our various projects will be on hand to chat about what's coming up in 2026 and how you can get involved.
